Tennessee sportsbook launch will be on November 1. However, the Tennessee Education Lottery Sports Wagering Committee needs to make some last-minute adjustments to the sportsbook. The launch will be in time for NFL Sunday, which is the busiest day for sportsbooks.

Tennessee Education Lottery said that sportsbooks would have a soft launch leading to the official launch day. Thus, bookies would not be overwhelmed with the NFL wagers during November 1. TEL will hold a special meeting to finalize some rules and regulations and ensure the terms are up to industry standards before the launch.

At present, operators with sports betting licenses in Tennessee are DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM. Tennessee Action 24/7 applied for a permit, but the state is still deliberating on the application or not.

According to reports, Tennessee Action 24/7 picked Amelco as its online bookie software supplier. However, they failed to get a license from TEL. Amelco applied on September 23 and has been waiting for a decision since then.

Based on pollical forum sources, TEL needs around six weeks to go through the application and do background checks. Thus, Amelco can expect to get approval by the first week of November.

The local sportsbook will be behind its competition for several days. It can impact their sportsbook profits because players might sign up with DraftKings, BetMGM, and FanDuel. Also, players are less likely to wait before Tennessee Action 24/7’s launch.

Tennessee is ready for the sportsbook launch on November 1. However, the question is whether or not the approved sportsbooks can operate before the actual launch date. The last thing that the TEL wants to happen is that sportsbooks can’t accept wagers. Thus, they need to have a dry-run before the actual date.

Tennessee Action 24/7 is the wild card during the launch. They are still undergoing the approval process from the TEL. Hopefully, they can get approval and open their sportsbook in the first week of November.
